Barcodes

Most retailers require a barcode on every item they sell. Each barcode represents a number – called the EAN or APN number - the key requirement of the barcode number is that it is unique. When a retailer introduces a new item to their shop they scan the barcode and then, enter into their computer, the item's price, description, GST status, etc.

If you require a small number of barcodes we can arrange and print them for you. If you require more than ten barcodes we recommend that you join the organisation that oversees the Australian barcode system – GS1 Australia.
