Bag Forming

There are two main methods of forming plastic bags; side sealing and bottom sealing. Side sealing is typically used for small bags; bottom sealing is used for bigger heavy duty bags.

Some of the many variations on basic bag forming processes include:

  • Adding side or bottom gussets to increase the bag's capacity
  • Die cut handles
  • Air holes or pin holes
  • Forming a flap and adding adhesive tape to form a sealable courier bag
  • Making bags on a roll
  • Making individual sheets
